Without proven consent, you are not allowed to load external code, e.g. retargeting and tracking provider.
You must NOT load any external tags without user consent. To dissent must be as easy as to consent according to GDPR Art.18 (e.g. one click).
According to GDPR Art.8 users that are to be tracked must be 16 years or older. If they are not (considered “child”) you need to receive consent of a legal guardian or you must not load any external tags on your site.
Adding consent.js to a website is easy –
just place this code below, ideally right after the opening <head>
tag:
